Weight Management Packages at Shreyas include 14 and
21-night programs where one can reduce 7-8 pounds and 10-12 pounds respectively
in a healthy manner, which can be maintained in the long run, and consist
of actual fat loss along with an increase in muscle mass and metabolic
rate. We achieve this by a combination of:
Customized low-calorie, balanced diet based
on scientific indices such as BMI, Broca's Index, etc
A set of time tested traditional Ayurvedic

Shreyas is not specifically a weight loss retreat, but a Yoga Retreat

Naturopath/Ayurvedic doctor. Guests are advised to strictly follow the
program recommended by the doctor in order to obtain maximum results

Your stay at Shreyas will set you on the path to your desired weight
and we will guide you on how to continue to see progress once you leave,
but please note that we cannot give guests any guarantees of losing
specific amount of weight.
Guests
on departure are presented a manual comprising of various suggestions
regarding diet, exercise & lifestyle changes which can be fitted into
their daily lives easily. As a long term commitment, for guests who are
interested, we keep in touch periodically to motivate & make specific
suggestions to help them continue, as well as send healthy recipes and
tips on nutrition, etc

COUNSELING: Individual Counseling
is essential to determine realistic goals of the guests & to initiate
a dietary regimen that is appropriate for their food habits &
lifestyle. Although motivation has to be intrinsic, our Wellness Consultant
can be of help towards initiating this motivation & subsequently
provide encouragement & guidance at frequent follow up visits.
Periodic consultations with our experienced Ayurvedic doctor help
in identifying the body types (Doshas), oils & massages best suited,
which helps in determining a specific line of treatment for better
results.
YOGA: Yogic processes redirect
our energy towrads healthy & creative outlets. They include physical
postures, breathing & cleansing processes, meditation & relaxation
techniques like yoga nidra. These processes tone the body, remove
blockages and help in harmonizing the inner mechanisms of the body.
HEALTHY CUISINE: After a detailed
wellness consultation with the guest, a negative energy balance plan
is made, which ensures the calorie intake is less than the ideal recommended
daily allowance, and is low in carbohydrates and fats. Care is taken
to provide a balanced diet, which is easy to follow on long term.
SLIMMING AYURVEDIC THERAPIES:
According to Ayurveda some of the therapies given for a specific period
not only help to mobilize the excessive adipose tissue but detoxify
the system. Medicated oils, which have weight loss properties are
used during these treatments to enhance the weight loss. The therapies
include:
Synchronized Abhyanga
This special Kerala massage uses medicated warm oils to strengthen
the body and improve suppleness & mobility. It also vitiates
doshas & brings them to the surface.
Choorna pinda swedam
This massage is done with warm cloth bags filled with herbal
powder. This helps to mobilize the fat in our body.
Virechanam (purgation therapy)
This is a purification therapy. It is the second of the five
main panchakarma therapies. It is the process by which bodily
wastes are eliminated through the lower pathways of the body
by oral administration of herbal medicines. It cleanses the
stomach & small intestine.
Udwarthanam
This is a process of forceful reverse body massage using powdered
herbs. It reduces kapha, strengthens the muscles & improves
the quality of skin. This is one of the most effective therapies
to eliminate adipose tissue deposits.
OTHER ACTIVITIES: Along with yoga & healthy
diet, guided brisk walks, swimming jogging, gym workouts & communing
with nature sessions are recommended.

BOOKING CONFIRMATION:
A reservation is confirmed upon receipt of a deposit of 50%
of the total amount. The deposit can be made by credit card

CANCELLATION
POLICY: If cancellation occurs wihin 30 days of arrival,
the deposit will be forefeit.
